I started my career late, at 33 years old. Today I am 55 years old and I still have the same love and principles for artistic creation. I have exhibited in Brazil and Europe, in solo and group exhibitions with works in photographs, sculptures, paintings and drawings. No matter the platform, I always DRAW with them. Photography? I draw with a camera. I am a designer and this defines me as an artist and an individual.

What is your creative process like?
I never make sketches or designs. I start drawing without knowing what I'm going to do. Error is also an important factor, because I incorporate it and sometimes it completely changes the final result. I like this freedom.
What are your sources of inspiration?
Mondrian, Malevich and Kandinsky. Although Michelangelo is my favorite.

What is the meaning of art in your life?
Given my background, I would have continued to be a marketing executive. But I had to draw. I had no choice, I left corporate life at 33 and started from scratch. I am, was and always will be a designer. Drawing is my life.

How do you stay up to date on trends?
Simple, I don't follow trends. I have my own agenda in the creative process using colors and lines.
What is the role of the artist in today's society?
I don't believe in engaged art, nor art with political commitment. The artist makes people dream, frees them and shows what exists in our imagination.
