As a photographer and artist, I constantly seek a challenging look and a new perspective, in an incessant creative process. My greatest inspiration is nature, the world, and human beings. I seek to develop works that make a difference and that speak about man and the Cosmos through images.
I use a variety of techniques, colors, and movements to create works that question reality and the true presence of the character or object in question; digital manipulation, when necessary and permitted, is present in the intensification of contrasts, creating works that challenge perception and awaken the imagination. Each photo enhances, through framing, light, colors, and composition, the manifestation of emotions, passions, and actions. In short, works that emphasize both the estrangement of man in contemporary times and the abrupt and expressive movements that aim to dominate the Cosmos.

How did your journey into the art world begin?

Photography has always attracted me. I have always been passionate about observing the details of nature, animals, the dawn, and rain. However, the natural anxieties resulting from the three years of the pandemic increased my curiosity and led me to dedicate myself more deeply and systematically to the world of photography. And today, I continue to diversify and explore this fascinating universe.

How would you describe your artistic style?

My artistic style is directly linked to the world, to nature, to plants, and, recently, I have been very concerned about man's existence in this universe. The way he relates to it and, mainly, the way he has worn out his relationship with the world, the way he uses nature irresponsibly. My art, recently, seeks to show the viewer the exhausting, harmful, degrading relationship between man and the universe.

What themes do you prefer to explore in your works?

My favorite subjects, as I have already said, have always been linked to nature, animals, all animals, and I have sought, from the very beginning, to capture their subtleties, their differences, their beauty, even making scientific discoveries about insects. In recent months I have introduced the human figure into my photographic universe, always relating man to nature, the condition of being in this world of man, his relationship with others, with nature, his pernicious relationship with the Earth.

What is your creative process like?

I start with something, with something. With a theme, a phrase, or an object, or a color. And then I enter a deep creative process, already imagining and creating that image before, in my mind, photographing it.
Ultimately, my creative process involves several steps, from the conception of the idea to the final execution of the image. It begins with a unique perception of the world around you, which can be inspired by emotions, stories, or even by the interaction with the environment. I choose elements, such as light, composition, and perspective, with the aim of conveying a message or an emotion. In
addition, technique plays a crucial role. I decide what type of equipment and settings to use, experimenting with different lenses, exposures, and camera settings. Post-production is also an important part of the creative process, when I can edit and enhance the image, adjusting colors, contrast, or even creating artistic interventions, depending on my vision.
This entire process is a combination of intuition, technical skill and creativity, with the aim of capturing an image that not only records the world, but also tells a story or reveals a new perspective to the viewer.

What is the meaning of art in your life?

For me, photography is more than a practice or a hobby. It is a deep, almost inexplicable connection, like the constant presence of a loyal friend. It is always by my side, helping to resolve internal conflicts, calm my mind and disconnect from the noise of the world. Taking pictures is like entering a meditative state, a moment of peace and tranquility. It is as if the camera were an extension of my body, an indispensable tool for well-being and, at the same time, a delicious addiction.
Through the lens, I discover details of the world that go unnoticed by the common eye. It is a magical instrument that expands perception, revealing the extraordinary in the ordinary. Each click is a new discovery, an opportunity to see what vision alone cannot reach. And the act of taking pictures alone, regardless of the place, transports me to a state of pure happiness.
My relationship with the camera transcends technique. It is physical, emotional, spiritual. It connects me with the world and with myself in a unique way, as if nothing else were necessary. Ferreira Gullar said that “art exists because life is not enough”. For me, photography not only confirms this, but goes further: it fills the gaps left by the monotony of everyday life. It transforms the trivial into art and gives me meaning, energy and purpose. Taking pictures is, above all, living fully.

How do you stay up to date on trends?

I keep myself up to date by reading about photography, checking out specialized websites on the subject, taking courses with special teachers, and dedicating hours and hours of my week to this activity that is also extremely enjoyable.
